The three Lincoln City public schools went into a “Red Alert,” lockdown, Thursday, May 7, following a threatening phone call about 2 p.m. to Taft Elementary School. The caller reportedly threatened to “harm school children.” Law enforcement officers from the Oregon State Police, Lincoln Co. Sheriff’s Office and Lincoln City Police responded to the schools to stand guard and watch for any suspicious activity.
