Chamber hires new Executive Director, Nov. 7

The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the appointment of its new Executive Director, Rosalie “Rosey” Thomas. With over 25 years of experience in the Coos Bay area and a deep commitment to community service, Rosey brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her new role. “I am truly honored to be entrusted with the role of Executive Director for the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce,” says Rosey Thomas. “I am eager to continue the great work of the Chamber and work alongside our dedicated members to enhance the local business environment and build an even stronger community.” Prior to taking on the role of Executive Director for the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Rosey dedicated over 12 years to the telecommunications industry. During this time, she built valuable relationships with local businesses in Coos County, gaining a deep understanding of the local business landscape. Her experience in the telecommunications sector allowed her to get to know the area intimately and make lasting friendships along the way. Rosey’s commitment to community service is evident in her active involvement with the Coos Bay North Bend Rotary Club. Through her work on its many local service projects, Rosey has demonstrated a strong desire to make a positive impact on life in Oregon’s Bay Area. The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, professional business organization made up of the Coos Bay, North Bend, and Charleston communities. The Chamber works for a healthy economic climate of good jobs, more customers and efficient government. The Chamber’s strength lies in the number and diversity of its membership.
