The annual changing of the guard for the unofficial greeter at the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport’s South Beach took place Tuesday, March 19. Staff members released “Raven,” into Yaquina Bay, and have introduced the newest Octopus to occupy the first tank inside the door at the educational/tourism facility operated by Oregon State University. The new octopus doesn’t have a name yet.
