Former Marshfield cross country runner Jazmin Chavez was recently honored by the NWAC as the Adidas Athlete of the Week for Nov. 6. The Lane CC freshman won the Southern Regional Championship with a time a 5K time of 19:02.6. She was also honored as an NWAC Adidas Athlete of the Week on September 25. “Jazmin has been consistently our top performer on the women’s team at every meet competition this year,” said Lane head coach Bill Steyer. “At Southern Regions she help lead our team to a perfect score of 15 by winning the race. Jazmin is a natural leader and a very smart competitor and trainer.”
