Brookings, OR – A Healthy and Sustainable Chetco River Watershed is the topic of discussion on December 3 at the presentation hosted by SWOCC & Beyond. Debra Worth will cover a wide range of subjects including: what a watershed is, how to know your watershed, water law and regulations, limits of development, healthy water for people and fish, the future of the Chetco River watershed in light of climate change, and what individuals can do to protect the common resource. Ms. Worth worked for non-profits in the Sierra Nevada in watershed management. She has an Associate of Science degree in Watershed Biology from Sierra College in Rocklin, California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Planning with an emphasis in Public Policy Administration from Chico State University in Chico, California.
