Child Sex Abuse Charges on Central Coast, Dec. 20

On December 19, 2013 at approximately 8:30am, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies and a Newport Police Officer assisted Special Agents from the Oregon Department of Justice Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit with executing a search warrant on a motor home parked at the Idaho Point Marina in South Beach, Oregon.  The search warrant resulted from an active investigation involving the owner of the motor home, 41 year old Mark Mryczko of South Beach, Oregon.  Mryczko was identified as a suspect in illegal computer activity involving the downloading, sharing, or transferring of images depicting child pornography.  Following the warrant service, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Trish Miller arrested Mryczko on seven counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the first degree and an additional seven counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the second degree.  Mryczko was lodged at the Lincoln County Jail.  His bail was set at $1,050,000.00.
