A 55-year old California male wanted for sex crimes involving a child has been arrested in Coos Co. Arturo Rangel was taken into custody and transported to the Fresno Co. Jail on Friday, Sept. 9. He faces charges of Lewd & Lascivious Acts with Child Under 14. An anonymous tip to authorities back in July led to the arrest of Rangel at a residence on Sitkum Lane, outside of Myrtle Pt. in August. He reportedly skipped a sentence hearing leading to the Bench Warrant for his arrest. Back in 1986, Rangel was convicted in Oregon on charges of Forcible Rape with Violence and Possession of a Concealed Firearm.
