The Coos History Museum is continuing to offer First Tuesday Talks virtually via Zoom in 2021 until we are able to resume in person. Our first presentation of the year will be on February 2, 2021 at 6:30 PM. February’s speaker will be Zachary Stocks, Executive Director of Oregon Black Pioneers presenting on, Oregon’s Black History: 450 Years in 45 Minutes. This program is available to all with a suggested donation of $5, or pay what you can. You can learn more, register, and make a donation on the Coos History Museum website (cooshistory.org/events/first-tuesday-talks/) or by contacting us at 541-756-6320. Join us as we learn about Oregon’s Black heritage, including its exclusion and erasure in our state’s history. Zachary Stocks of Oregon Black Pioneers will attempt to correct the record by highlighting key individuals and events that characterize Oregon’s unique and centuries-old Black history.
