City of North Bend release – The Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary Club has donated $10,000 to the North Bend Fire Department toward the purchase of a Holmatro battery-powered combination rescue tool. The North Bend Volunteer Firefighter Association contributed another $3,000 toward the equipment. The balance is $2,167 to be paid from the fire department budget. The Coquille Tribal Community Fund has awarded the North Bend Municipal Pool a $9,812 grant toward the purchase and installation of an ADA-compliant lift chair with a 600-pound capacity. Total project cost is estimated at $13,256 with the balance to be paid from the pool budget.
