A Christmas Story— The Musical November 24-26 & December 8th – 17th Friday And Saturday 7pm and Sunday at 2pm, Nov. 24

Christmas is already swinging into high gear at the Liberty Theatre! The cast and crew of A Christmas Story – The Musical have been diligently rehearsing since September and they are so excited to bring this spectacle of sights and sounds to the stage in North Bend. The story is a familiar one, since 1997 TBS has been running a 24 hour marathon of the film from Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, with a cult-like following. Ralphie Parker’s quest for an official Red Ryder, carbine action, 200-shot range model air rifle has been given a new life with the addition of catchy songs and huge dance numbers (featuring a leg lamp kick-line). Don’t be alarmed as the iconic scenes from the movie are included in the musical; the old man’s major award, the flag pole incident, “pink nightmare,” and all. A Christmas Story – The Musical is Aymée Pedder’s directorial debut with Little Theatre on the Bay. This time honored tale is brought to life by so many talented members of our community, new and familiar faces alike! We invite the community to join us for our THANKSGIVING WEEKEND opening, and we’ll help you and your family usher in the holiday season with gusto! Carve some time out of the hustle and bustle and let Little Theatre on the Bay take you back in time to the 1940’s, when times were simpler and a BB gun cost about $2.00. A Christmas Story – The Musical runs November 24-26 and December 8-17, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00pm, and Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets are $15 for Adults, $13 for Seniors, and $10 for Children (12 and under). There’s always something going on at the Liberty Theatre! Since 1959 LTOB has operated and managed North Bend’s historic Liberty Theatre as a performing arts venue serving residents and visitors to Coos County. The progressing restoration project will ensure North Bend’s 92 year-old Liberty Theatre’s role as the architectural and cultural hub of the community. Preserving and protecting it will be in time for the centennial celebration of the building’s opening scheduled for spring 2024. The Little Theatre on the Bay is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is “to cultivate the arts in Coos County.”
