Oregon and Oregon State will no longer refer to their annual sporting clashes as “The Civil War.” Both schools decided Friday, June 26 to drop the handle seen as disparaging to some because “it represents a connection to a war fought to perpetuate slavery,” according to OSU President Ed Ray.
