DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has concluded its participation in a recent Click-it or Ticket Campaign. The campaign, which utilized a total of 15 hours of grant funded overtime provided by the Oregon Department of Transportation, ran from May 22 – June 2nd, 2023. Deputies were specifically looking for seatbelt and child safety seat violations. The enhanced enforcement campaign yielded the following contacts: Speeding Warnings- 11; Speeding Citations- 1; Driving While Suspended Citations- 4; Interlock Ignition Device Warning- 1; No Seatbelt Citations- 4 ; No Seatbelt Warnings- 2; Distracted Driving/ Cellphone Warning- 1; No Operators License Warning- 1; Equipment Violation Warnings- 8; Other Violations Warnings- 12; Arrest(s)- 1.
