An effort to address the homeless population unfolded Thursday, July 1, with the first tenant of Coalbank Village in Coos Bay moving into one of the tiny homes built on property at the south end of Coos Bay. The Village is connected to the Devereux Center in Empire which will work with residents to help them get back on their feet. Marieta Toribio was the first to move-in, five more are expected within the next several week.
