The COVID-19 virus shutdown all Coastal Festivals in 2020, but some will make a come back this year. Festivals scheduled later in the year are currently showing up on event websites. The City of North Bend decided to postpone its July Jubilee Celebration to a possible later date. The Lincoln Co. Fair on the Central Coast at Newport will go July 2, and at the end of the month the Coos Co. Fair will be held at Myrtle Point July 20-24. Loyalty Days at Newport was postponed for a second straight year. It is held in late April. Rhododendron Days in Florence has again suspended its May event. The Azalea Festival, May 29, 30 & 31 at Brookings will take place. Winchester Bay’s DuneFest is scheduled for July 27 – August 1. The Coos Bay Downtown Association’s Blackberry Festival, August 28-29, and Bay Area Fun Festival, Sept 18 & 19, are currently accepting applications from vendors for this year. The 75th Annual Bandon Cranberry Festival is set for Sept. 10–12. No word yet on the annual Fourth of July celebrations in the Bay Area.
