SALEM, Ore.—Oregon’s Commercial Fishery Permit Board (CFPB) will meet Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 9:00 a.m.-noon The meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams and is open to the public. See below for information to join the meeting. The CFPB will receive an orientation on CFPB responsibilities and procedures from staff and will review and prepare final orders on five commercial fisheries permit contested case hearings, provided there is a quorum available for that fishery. If a quorum is not available, cases will be scheduled to be reviewed at a later date. The CFPB will review and prepare final orders on the following hearings (pending time and availability of a quorum): Steve and Cheryl Ramberg, Limited Entry Oregon Dungeness Crab Permit #96481; Ryan Tarabochia, Columbia River Gillnet Salmon Permit #50033; Richard Keys, Limited Entry Ocean Troll Salmon Permit #60443; Brad Miller, Limited Entry Ocean Troll Salmon Permit #62475; Mark Richardson, Limited Entry Ocean Troll Salmon Permit #60282. The CFPB meets quarterly or as needed to review contested case hearings for commercial fishery permit reinstatements. CFPB members represent Ocean Troll Salmon, Columbia River Gillnet, Ocean Crab, Pink Shrimp, Sea Urchin, Yaquina Bay Roe Herring, Black and Blue rockfish, and other developmental or limited entry participant commercial fisheries. Members are required to hold a valid commercial fishing permit for the fishery they represent. In addition, the CFPB has two members that represent the general public at large.
