SALEM, Ore. – The Committee for Family Forestlands will meet Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to noon in Salem. The meeting will be in the Sun Pass Room of Building D on the campus of the Oregon Department of Forestry, 2600 State Street. Updates the committee will receive include: Private Forest Division; Board of Forestry’s retreat; Governor’s Council on Wildfire Response; Process for committee recommendations and charter changes. The meeting is open to the public. Public comments will be accepted near the start of the meeting after approval of the minutes. The meeting space is accessible to persons with disabilities. The 13-member committee researches policies that affect family forests, natural resources and forestry benefits.
