Community Risk Metrics Data, Dec. 7

CHW release – Coos Health & Wellness is working hard to keep you informed on the status of COVID-19 guidelines in Coos County. The new guidelines go into effect this week and we want you to know what you can expect. We will continue to provide updates as these situations change. The newest risk level metrics align with what we are familiar with from recent schools metrics. These same metrics will now impact our schools and will also affect our businesses and personal gatherings as well. We will be altering the graphics that are released each week to reflect the broader impact on our community. From the governor’s website: “On Monday, November 30, the Oregon Health Authority reexamined county data to determine which counties qualify for each risk level on December 3, following the end of the 2-Week Freeze. In each subsequent two-week period, the Oregon Health Authority will examine and publish county data weekly, but county risk levels will not change until the end of the second week. In the first week, counties will be given Warning Week data to prepare for potential risk level changes. In the second week, county risk levels will be updated based on that week’s data.” For more detailed information please see the governor’s website here. https://govstatus.egov.com/or-covid-19/?fbclid=IwAR1L7xeAwwtMXZ64zRUd3_g2C2afEGsF99fln3mBeV8iA8U5JTqjzek_Ow It is up to us, as a community, to be the best public health stewards we can be. We are asking that you follow the guidelines such as social distancing, wearing a face covering in public and using good hand hygiene to help keep our case counts low enough that we can get our schools re-opened for the benefit of our children.
