Oregon State Fire Marshal release – The $18 million grant fund, Community Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant, offered by the Oregon State Fire Marshal closes to applications on January 31, 2023. The Community Wildfire Risk Reduction Grant Program is open to local governments, including special districts, structural fire service agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Eligible applicants can apply for wildfire risk reduction projects, equipment, and staff to support local efforts. The funds will enable local organizations to create and/or support existing programs that reduce wildfire risk. The application period is open until January 31, 2023. Applications must be received no later than 5 pm on January 31, 2023.
