Conclusion of Board Complaint Process, Jan. 26

The School Board of the Coos Bay School District has concluded its investigation of complaints filed by District administrators and staff and others against Superintendent Dawn Granger. These complaints were investigated by an independent investigator hired by the District. Any of the complainants who were dissatisfied with the conclusions and recommendations of the investigator had the right to appeal to the School Board for a Level 4 Formal Hearing. Formal Hearings were held before the School Board on five of the complaints. The School Board has reviewed all of the complaints, the investigator’s reports and recommendations, and considered the testimony and exhibits offered at the Formal Hearings. The School Board has determined that Superintendent Granger did not violate District policies or state laws nor did she engage in unethical behavior. The complaint process is now concluded.
