The Bureau of Land Management will complete work to repair a section of Lower Smith River Road (20-11-36.0) between May 27 and June 5, 2014. Up to thirty minute travel delays may be possible during the construction period.  The work site is located approximately 14 miles from the intersection of Highway 101 and about 0.25 miles from where the pavement striping ends on Lower Smith River Road. Flaggers will be present while work is taking place to direct traffic through the area.  The prepared gravel base will be exposed over the weekend and there will be a large bump at both ends of the road in the construction zone. This edge will be well marked, and motorists should use caution and travel at reduced speeds through the area.  For additional information, please contact Gloria Robbins with Coos Bay District Office at 541-756-0100.
