If the recent annual Play Day was any indication, the 2015 Coos Bay Speedway season is going to be “Hot & Fast!” The 2015 Les Schwab Championship Series Dirt Track opens Saturday, May 2, with the “Finest winged sprint and stock cars in the state of Oregon.” Late Model, Sportsman, Street Stock, Mini Stocks, Hornet, and N.A.M.R.A. Gates open at 4 p.m. and racing begins at 6:30. Plenty of easy parking off Hwy. 42 between Coos Bay and Green Acres. General Admission $10, CHILDREN 6-14 $5.
