City of Coos Bay release – The Coos Bay Public Works Department is advising the community that the Visitor Information Center’s north parking lot will be closed from 7 am – 2 pm on Monday, November 19, 2018. The purpose of the parking lot closure is to allow a safe working zone for staff and contractor to set a 30 ft. tall Christmas Tree in the center of the parking lot. Once the tree has been secured and anchored, staff will secure a work zone around the tree, and then mobilize to Empire to install an 18 ft. tall Christmas Tree next to the Star of Hope.
