Coos Co. Commissioner Melissa Cribbins will represent Coos County at a conference hosted by the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs on Thursday, Oct. 11, in Washington D.C.  Cribbins is part of a delegation of Oregon county officials from Crook, Douglas, Grant, Harney, Josephine, Linn, Marion, Morrow, Polk, Union & Yamhill counties.  The conference will reportedly focus on “how federal policies impact Oregon counties and residents,” according to a news release from Commissioner Cribbins.  “It is an honor to be invited by the White House to discuss our county’s priorities,” said Cribbins.  “I look forward to discussing topics important to Coos County, including forest management, housing and veteran’s health care.”
