Coos County District Attorney R. Paul Frasier is seeking photographic or video evidence against a 36-year old Coos Bay male who brandished a weapon at protestors Saturday, June 6, in Coos Bay. Brandon Moore is scheduled to appear in Court July 8. Coos Bay Police released on his own recognizance following his arrest. Frasier says he has “received several phone calls demanding that I immediately prosecute Mr. Moore. To suggest that I authorize a prosecution without reviewing all the available evidence, such as civilian digital evidence and eyewitness statements, does not allow for the fair admission of justice.” Frasier says he was informed there may have been photos to videos taken by private citizens, he encourages anyone to contact CBPD. “I join in the statement made by the National District Attorney’s Association, stating that Mr. Floyd’s ‘ultimate legacy will be a national commitment to improve law enforcement training, our own attitudes on race, our selection and retention of police officers and the commitment to the reality, not merely the promise, of equal justice for all.’”
