CBPD release – Local law enforcement agencies teamed up to provide extra patrols at the Coos County Fair specifically targeting impaired drivers. On Saturday, July 29th, six additional officers and troopers hit the streets around Myrtle Point during a six-hour period to deter and apprehend impaired drivers. Those officers completed the following: 115 traffic stops; 136 violation warnings; 23 violation citations; 1 warrant arrest; 1 DUII arrest; 1 Driver tested for suspected impairment with no arrest.
