The excitement for this year’s Coos County Fair “American Pride, County Wide” is building. The annual Summer-Time event is set for July 23-27 at the Fairgrounds in Myrtle Point. Along with the Rodeo Friday & Saturday evening, the Fair also offers 4-H displays, animal exhibits and even the 4-H Livestock Auction on Saturday. Floral and commercial exhibits surround Rainier Amusement’s carnival rides. Oh and the Fair Food, good for all ages! Adults will pay $8 Tuesday & Wednesday, $10 Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Seniors will get a discount to $4 on Wednesday, $8 Tuesday & Thursday and $10 Friday & Saturday. Military/Veterans are $8 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, $5 on Friday & $10 Saturday. Season tickets are $10 for a child (6-17), and $40 for an adult at the gate. Pre-Sale adult season passes cost $30. The Coos County Fair began in 1912. Entertainment this year includes: Adams the Great – Magic Rockstar daily. On the Main Stage: Border Patrol & Parmalee on Wednesday, Tracy Byrd on Thursday, and Billy Lund & Whiskey Weekend Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
