ATV Injury on Dunes
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 03-16-2014, at about 1415 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an injury accident which occurred in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation area near Hauser. Hauser Fire and Bay Cities Ambulance assisted by transporting the 55 year old female victim from California out of the dunes area to Bay Area Hospital with possible neck injuries and was later transported to OHSU in Portland for further evaluation. The investigation showed that Susan Jablonski was wearing a helmet and suffered neck and head injury. Witness statements indicated the female was operating a 4-wheeler south of Razor Back Hill and was attempting to climb a small hill. Witnesses advised the female was traveling at less than 10 mph when the 4 wheeler tipped over.
