Meth Bust
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office.  On May 2, 2014, at about 1245 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies contacted 52 year old Wanda Davis of Coos Bay, as she was walking on Cape Arago Highway and Beacon Lane, South of Coos Bay.  Deputies had knowledge Ms. Davis had a municipal warrant out of Florence, Oregon.  Through the course of the contact, Wanda Davis was arrested on a probation violation.  During a search of Ms. Davis’ property, a quantity of methamphetamine and the implements used to ingest it were found.  Wanda Davis was arrested for the probation violation and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.  Ms. Davis was cited for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana less than one ounce and further cited to appear on the Florence, Oregon Municipal Warrant.  Wanda Davis was transported to the Coos County Jail and lodged.

Hit & Run
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office.  On 5/4/14 at 0326 hours multiple 911 calls were placed to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office regarding a hit and run involving a silver SUV and pedestrian on Lowell Lane, Coos Bay, Coos County, Oregon.  Callers advised that an adult female had been run over at the location and the vehicle had fled the scene. As a result of an investigation it was revealed that Thomas J. Streitzwaters, 28 years of age from Coos Bay, ran over the female at the location. Mr. Streitzwaters then fled the scene to an unknown location. The female victim was transported to BAH and later sent to River Bend Medical Center in Springfield. The victim was listed in stable condition.  On 05/04/2014 at about 1330 hours, Coos Bay Police Officers located Thomas Streitzwaters and the vehicle he had been operating during the incident, a 2003 Silver Ford Escape on S 10th Street in Coos Bay.  He was detained for Sheriff’s Deputies and was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail and booked for Assault II and Felony Hit and Run.  The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Coos Bay Police Department and Charleston Fire.
