Injury Crash
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office.  On 05-04-14 at about 1436 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Charleston Fire responded to the area of Libby Lane and Capital Drive, Coos Bay, to a reported injury motor vehicle crash into a power pole.  The driver of the vehicle, a 1992 Acura Legacy was identified as Denae Elaine Warner, age 22 of Coos Bay.  She suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention.  As the result of the investigation, Denae Warner was cited for driving without a license and the vehicle was towed by a private party.  Pacific Power was notified about the damage to their power pole.

Injury Accident
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office.  On 05-05-2014 at about 0759 hours, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police and Bandon Fire/EMS responded to mile post 10.5 on Hwy 42S, Bandon to the report of a rollover motor vehicle traffic crash.  Upon arrival responders located a 2000 Ford Van that had been involved in a rollover accident.  Contacted at the scene was the driver and only occupant, 29 year old Zachary Adams of Bandon.  It was determined that Mr. Adams lost control of his construction van, hitting the embankment overturning the vehicle on a corner.   Bandon Fire assisted in the cleanup of construction material as the driver was taken to the hospital by a private party with minor injuries.  No citations were issued in the crash.

Injury Crash
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office.  On 05-05-2014 at about 3:49 P.M., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon State Police and Myrtle Point Fire/EMS responded to Mile Post 3 on the Powers Highway to the report of a rollover traffic crash. At the scene, Shirley Burgess, age 70 of Powers was located still in her vehicle after blacking out at the wheel and vaulting her Mazda SUV 304 feet into the briars.  She had been lying in her vehicle partially obstructed from view from the highway for about 3 hours until a passerby noticed the top of her red SUV.  Myrtle Point Fire used the JAWS to extricate her from the vehicle which was totaled.  She was transported to the hospital by Myrtle Point EMS where she was admitted with non-life threatening injuries.  The cause of the incident appeared to be medical in nature.
