Meth & Stolen Vehicle
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 11-26-15, between the hours of 0824 and 0903 the Coos County Sheriff’s Office took two separate reports of vehicles being stolen sometime during the night near Sumner Lane. The vehicles were a Ford F150 pickup taken from the D&H Logging Business, Coos Bay and a motorcycle taken from a residence on Edwards Mill Road, Coos Bay. Sheriff’s Deputies canvassed the area of Sumner, both the vehicles a 2001 Ford F150 pickup and a 2006 Kawasaki KLR650 dual sport motorcycle were located on BLM Road #27-12-4.3, which is off Fairview-Sumner Road near mile post 7. The stolen motorcycle was secured in the back of the stolen pickup. As the result of the investigation, Jacob Daniel Burch, age 33 of Coos Bay and Janice Monic Sanders, age 32 of Coos Bay, were found in possession of the stolen vehicles and were taken into custody for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Criminal Mischief and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Both subjects were transported to the Coos County Jail. Jacob Burch was booked into the Jail for two counts of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Parole Violation. Janice Sanders was booked into the Jail for two counts of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Probation Violation. Additional charges are being referred to the Coos County District Attorney. Both subjects are held in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.

Menacing
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On November 28, 2015 the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the North Bend Police responded to 66642 East Bay Road, North Bend regarding a domestic dispute. It was learned Christopher Burton had attempted to gain entry into the home of a patient his wife cares for. Mr. Burton’s wife Tina Mendoza was present at the home. The actions and words Mr. Burton uttered caused both Ms. Mendoza and her patient to fear for their lives. Mr. Burton was taken into custody and lodged at the Coos County jail on menacing (Domestic), menacing and Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree charges. Bail was set at $22,500.00.

Menacing
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On November 29, 2015 the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Bandon Police Department responded to 87551 East Beach Loop Road regarding shots being fired at a residence. Sandra Elliott reported her husband Christopher Sabin in a shed behind their house firing at the house. Upon arrival deputies and officers located Sabin, who had been locked in the shed by his wife, had been shooting at the home with a BB gun. However, Mr. Sabin was wearing two pistol holsters which did not have pistols in them. No pistols were located. Ms. Elliott knows Mr. Sabin has pistols and carries them. By his actions and words Mr. Sabin placed his wife in fear of her life. He was taken into custody for Menacing Domestic and lodged at the Co0os County Jail on $10,000 bail.
