News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On December 10, 2014 Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies received information on the location of a possible wanted subject in the Charleston area. At about 8:26 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies went to 63301 Boat Basin Road in Charleston after they received a citizen tip that the subject they were looking for was at that location. When Deputies arrived at the location they located the suspect, 40 year old Willy Joe Jenkins of Bandon in a vehicle in the driveway. When deputies attempted to place Mr. Jenkins into custody he refused to exit the vehicle and attempted to reach into his waist area several times. Deputies physically removed Mr. Jenkins from the vehicle and placed him into custody for the warrants. Deputies located a loaded firearm in Jenkins’ waist area. During a search of the vehicle deputies located methamphetamine, a digital scale, cash, a folding knife, and an electronic stun flashlight. Mr. Jenkins was transported to the Coos County Jail, booked and lodged on the charges for seven active warrants, Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Felon in Possession of Firearm, Unlawful Possession Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery Methamphetamine, Unlawful Manufacture Methamphetamine, and Criminal Driving-Misdemeanor.

News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 12-11-14 at about 0048 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 92152 Cape Arago Highway, space 415, Coos Bay, Coos County Oregon, to a report of a disturbance at that location. Deputies contacted the parties involved in the disturbance, Dustin Schneckloth age 44 of Coos Bay and Kristin Henrickson, age 42, also of Coos Bay. As a result of the investigation Mr. Schneckloth was arrested for harassment and an outstanding arrest warrant out of Florence Oregon. Mr. Schneckloth was transported to the Coos County Jail where he was booked and lodged. He is being held in lieu of $5,000.00 bail.
