Criminal Trespass
News release Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On June 4, 2016, at about 1941 hours, Deputies from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 63357 Terramar Road, Charleston, Oregon. Upon arrival, Deputies found William Swiech holding Christopher Spanik, 31 YOA of North Bend at gun point. The investigation revealed that Christopher Spanik and Sarah Flowers, 27 YOA of North Bend, and two children (7 year old and 6 year old males) had gone onto the property and gone into a cabin on the property. The property owner, William Swiech was alerted to someone on his property and assuming he was being burglarized fired three warning shots. Mr. Swiech was able to stop Christopher Spanik and one of the juveniles and held them at gun point for Law Enforcement. Sarah Flowers fled with the other juvenile. Christopher Spanik was arrested at the scene and charged with Criminal Trespass I and Criminal Trespass II and held on an additional probation violation. Sarah Flowers was later located and cited in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass I and Criminal Trespass II. Ms. Flowers was cited so that the 2 juveniles could be released back to her.

Assault IV Domestic
News release Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On June 4, 2016, at about 2326 hours, deputies from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 48771 Eckley Mountain Road, Myrtle Point. Upon arrival, a deputy spoke with the victim, 28 year old Myrtle Point resident, Jenna Graham who bore evidence of having been assaulted. Ms. Graham reported that she had been assaulted by her husband, 49 year old Michael Davis. With assistance of Myrtle Point Police Department, the deputy went to the residence where Michael Davis was located and he was subsequently arrested for Assault IV Domestic, Harassment and Strangulation. Due to his size, two sets of handcuffs were applied to Davis. Upon arrival at the jail, it was found one set of handcuffs, personal property of the deputy, had been destroyed. Davis was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief III. Ms. Graham did not need medical attention at the scene.

Assault IV
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 06/05/16, at approximately 0249 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to 50728 Dement Creek Road for a dispute. While en route Deputies were advised two subjects were now fighting. Upon arrival it was determined that Derek Lawless had been operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants and wrecked his truck on Dement Creek Road. Mr. Lawless came to the residence at 50728 (the Monson family) to get them to help pull out his truck so that he could leave and drive off. The family at the residence refused to assist Mr. Lawless and told him to leave several times. Mr. Lawless refused and a fight occurred between 21 year old Blaine Monson and Mr. LawLess. Derek LawLess was arrested for Criminal Trespass I, Assault IV and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. He was transported to the Coos County Jail and booked. No one required medical attention at the scene.

Disorderly at Orchard Park
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 06/05/16, at approximately 1701 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Orchard Park, Powers, Coos County Oregon for a report of a physical dispute. While en route it was reported that Powers Police Officers had responded and that the incident was over and most of the individuals involved had separated and left the area. Sheriff’s Deputies continued to the park area and conducted a patrol check through the park. During the patrol check, Deputies contacted a number of people who had seen the earlier incident. While deputies were out in the park they made contact with a male and female couple that appeared to be fairly intoxicated and bothering other families in the campground. When the male subject refused the deputies orders to go to his camp and sober up and became more loud and obnoxious. Deputies again asked the subject to go to his camp and sober up and again he refused and continued his behavior. Deputies then attempted to detain the male subject and take him into physical custody for disorderly conduct when the male subject became combative and resistive. Deputies had to subdue the subject with the use of a TASER. While the Deputies were attempting to deal with the male subject the female subject began to interfere with the deputies taking the male into custody. After the male subject was detained and secured into a patrol car the Deputies attempted to arrest the female subject who also became resistive but was eventually secured in handcuffs and placed in a patrol vehicle. Deputies identified the 2 subjects as 20 year old Bodhi Lobato of Myrtle Point who was arrested for Disorderly Conduct II and Resisting arrest. The female subject was identified as 18 year old Myrtle Point resident, Meranda Jenkins who was arrested for Interfering with a Peace Officer, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct II. Both subjects were transported to the Coos County Jail and lodged for their charges. Meranda and Bodhi were issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol.
