According to officials with Coos Health & Wellness, Coos County now has 33-confirmed positive cases of the COVID-19 virus, that’s out of 37 tested cases and four are presumptive. The latest cases involve two adult sisters, a child under 18 and a friend of the child. They all traveled to Washington County to pick up a four-year old niece as her parents were not feeling well. The parents then tested positive for COVID-19. All who traveled to Washington Co. were exposed. Local testing Monday, June 22, showed one of the sisters and the daughter tested positive. The friend started showing symptoms over the weekend. The niece also became symptomatic and has since returned to Washington County. No one was hospitalized, but they have reportedly isolated themselves locally.
