Coos County COVID-19 Outbreak, July 13

Officials with Coos Health & Wellness are not saying which business, or which town, but they are reporting a breakout of the COVID-19 virus in one workplace in Coos County. According to officials, the outbreak expands to more individuals in multiple counties. Brian Leon, an epidemiologist with CHW, says the outbreak is mostly contained to just the employees and their social household connections. Oregon Health Authority last week showed two days where four cases were reported in Coos County, two on a day between. That’s ten in one week. The unidentified workplace has four positive cases and one presumptive, all are male. One person is under 40-years of age and the others are between 40 & 60.
