News release BAH. Hundreds of Floral Arrangements to be Delivered. Our community has been chosen to participate in Teleflora’s Make Someone Smile Week. It’s one of the floral industry’s leading charitable projects. Throughout the week of July 16, hundreds of deserving people in Coos County and more than 30 thousand people across the country will receive floral arrangements in Teleflora’s signature yellow happy face mugs. The floral arrangements will be put together by kids at the Boys and Girls Club on Tuesday, and the Coos Bay Elk’s Club has volunteered to deliver the arrangements throughout the community. Many of the flower filled mugs will be delivered to patients at Bay Area Hospital on Wednesday, July 19, around 9:00 in the morning. Other locations that will receive floral arrangements include Baycrest Village, THE House, Bayside Terrace, Inland Point, Life Care, and Ocean Ridge. This fun initiative is made possible in our community by the sponsorship of Petal to the Metal Flowers in downtown North Bend. “I believe in giving back to the community that has given me so much,” said Robbyn Repp, owner of Petal to the Metal flowers. Other sponsors in Oregon include Floral Supply Syndicate (Portland), Greenleaf Wholesalers (Portland), and Superior Greens (Springfield).
