The official opening of the new Coos History Museum on N. Bayshore Drive (Hwy. 101) in Coos Bay is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, with Governor Kate Brown in attendance. Free admission is being offered from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The governor is scheduled to appear between 1 & 2 p.m. A Commemoration is slated for noon.
