Coos Co. Triple murderer sentenced, Dec. 17

A 65-year old Bridge man who wanted out of a marriage without the entanglement of a divorce and court orders, murdered his wife and then neighbors last June to try and throw suspicion on to a possible “psycho killer” on the loose, was sentenced to three consecutive life terms in prison Monday, Dec. 16, in a Coos County Courtroom at the Courthouse in Coquille.  Edward Nelson’s plan unraveled fast when another neighbor spotted his pickup truck being driven from the murder scene.  He was caught later that night driving through the Roseburg area.  After he was caught, Nelson waived his right to a trial and pled guilty.
