Since late July of 2016, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office had been receiving information of counterfeit $100.00 dollars being passed in various locations in Douglas County. The Sheriff’s Office Detectives Division began an investigation into the information, and during the investigation developed information that 36 year old Corey R. Roland of Glide, along with others, was involved in the production and passing of the bills. On 08-15-16, the Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at Corey Roland’s residence, located in the 200 Block of Estella, Glide. Contacted at the residence at the time the warrant was served was; Corey Roland, 27 year old Cory L. Williams of Idleyld Park, and 25 year old Rochelle M. Claughton of Glide. Also at the residence was a child under the age of five. Sheriff’s Detectives located and seized numerous items from the residence which related to the investigation. Also seized were narcotics. All three subjects were arrested and lodged at the Douglas County Jail. The child at the residence was taken into protective custody from the scene by Department of Human Services. Charges include: Roland — Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Endangering Welfare of a Minor, Forgery I, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument I, Theft II and DWS — Felony. Williams — Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Claughton — Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Endangering Welfare of a Minor. The Sheriff’s Office Detectives are in contact with the United States Secret Service, and more arrests from the investigation are expected.
