Two of Oregon’s historic covered bridges are getting restoration work. Both are located in Lincoln County, and funding for the projects comes through the National Historic Covered Bridge Preservation Program and a Federal Highway Administration grant. The balance will be picked up by the county. Workers are repairing trusses, roofing, siding and throwing in a fresh coat of paint on the Chitwood Bridge, near Eddyville off Hwy. 20, and the North Fork Bridge off the Yachats River Road.
