Crab Pot Restaurant Burns, July 7

An afternoon fire shutdown Hwy. 101 in Lincoln City Thursday, July 3.  The Crab Pot Restaurant, built in 1929, caught fire about 3 p.m. forcing officials to close the coastal route for nearly two-hours.  The fire is believed to have begun in the rear of the restaurant.  No one was injured, but damages costs were estimated at $120,000.  An investigation is continuing.
