Curry Co. COVID-19, Oct. 12

10/10/2020 – Curry County Public Health (CCPH) was notified at 4:30 pm Saturday by the Administration of Sea View Senior Living Memory Care unit of 11 additional Covid-19 cases that were tested through Vikor Labs. These cases are patients of the long term memory care facility and none appear to have any symptoms of Covid-19 according to Sea View Administration. These current cases have been verified and confirmed by the Health Officer through lab results. CCPH is working with the administration of Sea View Memory Care Center to make sure these individuals are isolating and monitoring for any symptoms. CCPH is conducting contact tracing o these cases and will reach out to anyone suspected of exposure to COVID-19. CCPH has reached out to first responders who may have or have to respond for medical issues at that location. As of October 10th, 2020, the total verified number of positive cases for Curry County residents is currently 49, with 29 recovered cases, 20 active cases, zero hospitalizations and zero deaths. Out of the total numbers for Curry County, 18 of those have come from Sea View Senior Living Long Term Memory Care. Please remember, it is important that we all follow the OHA and CDC guidelines and Governor’s directives about social distancing, wearing facial coverings in public buildings and protecting yourselves by staying home to slow the spread and save lives. CCPH will continue to keep the public informed with all the information we can in order to keep our citizens safe.
