Industries paring jobs were construction (-50), professional and business services (-20), and accommodations and food services (-60). Over the past year, payroll employment fell by 90 jobs. Job losses were estimated in construction (-50), retail trade (-30), and professional and business services (-80). Government employment rose by 50, with federal government (+10) and local government (+40) adding jobs over the year. Curry County’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was estimated at 10.2 percent, little changed from the year-ago figure.
