David’s Chair available at Coos Bay, June 26

What: UNVEILING OF THE ELECTRIC ALL-TERRAIN TRACK CHAIR, PROVIDED BY DAVID’S CHAIR OUTDOOR MOBILITY SYSTEMS, AND TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS; When: Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Noon; Where: Coos Bay Visitor Information Center, 50 Central Ave, Coos Bay, OR 97420 in the North Parking Lot; More Information: In conjunction with the City of Coos Bay, the American Legion Post 34 – Bay Area, and the Coos Bay Elks Lodge 1160, David’s Chair Outdoor Mobility Systems will be providing an electric all-terrain track chair that will be available for loan to mobility challenged residents and visitors in the Coos Bay, North Bend, and Charleston area beginning in July 2024. The chair is housed at the Coos Bay Visitor Center, 50 Central Avenue, north parking lot and will be managed by the local American Legion Post. Those who wish to borrow the chair will do so through an online portal on the David’s Chair website, www.davidschair.org. On Wednesday, June 26th, representatives from David’s Chair OMS will be on hand to train the American Legion and Elks volunteers, City of Coos Bay staff and the Visitor Center staff on the procedures and workings of the track chair.
