Deadliest Catch spinoff on Central Oregon Coast, Jan. 20

The Discovery Channel is pursuing a spinoff of its highly successful “Deadliest Catch” show out of Alaska, by producing a spinoff show featuring Dungeness Crab fishermen and their families in the Newport area. The program title will be “Deadliest Catch: Dungeon Cove.” The program is scheduled to premier this fall. The original “Deadliest Catch” aired in 2005 and has been a hit for the Discovery Channel with an average 3.6 million viewers this season.
