On October 22, 2018 a hiker located the remains of a body on a trail off of Illinois River Rd. approximately 2 miles from Selma. The Medical Examiner will be examining the remains in an attempt to confirm/determine the gender, age, approximate time of death, and circumstances. Investigators believe that it is the remains of an adult male. Oregon State Police are continuing to investigate and will release more information when appropriate/available.
