Dehydrated foods and jerky making is the topic of the March Master Food Preservers workshop to be held Saturday, March 11th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the OSU Extension Service. Workshop participants will learn how to make jerky as well as the proper storage methods. This class will also cover the basics of dehydrating fruits and vegetables, plus inspiring tips and tricks such as the ever-popular “Dinner in a Jar”! Proper storage of dehydrated foods, and how to use them will also be covered. The workshop will be held at the OSU Extension Service, 631 Alder Street in Myrtle Point. Cost is $10.
