The Coos County Sheriff’s Office would like to take this opportunity to congratulate one of its employees in their recent accomplishment of wining the Bench Press event at the Police and Fire Olympics held in San Diego this last week. John Cooper, a deputy with the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, who came from the San Diego area to Coos County 2 years ago when he was hired by the Sheriff’s Office, won his event with a lift of 502lbs in a field of approximately 60 other competitors. We congratulate John on his win and will be seeing him continue competing in these events.
