One of two Southern Oregon males convicted of raping and murdering two German females who were hitchhiking up the Oregon Coast in 1989 has died in prison. Fifty-nine year old Jeffrey R Williams has been on Oregon’s Death Row at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem for the killing of Unna Tuxen and Kathrin Reith on Lampa Mtn., between Myrtle Pt. and Bandon. The two students were picked up on Hwy. 101 and driven to the remote location where they were killed. The two responsible were arrested after one felt remorse and confessed to investigators.
