Discharge of Firearm Correction, March 8

On February 27, 2019 at approximately 7:00 P.M. Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of suspicious activity near 2nd St. in Yachats, Oregon. Initial dispatch information reported the possibility that a bullet passed through a residential living room window. Shortly after arrival deputies determined a bullet had in fact penetrated the double pane exterior window of the residence. At approximately 9:00 P.M. Deputies were able to locate the source of the shot tracing the trajectory to a nearby residence. Deputies contacted the subject inside the neighboring residence identified as Terry L. Davidson. During the course of the investigation it was determined the round was discharged in negligence, Mr. Davidson was subsequently taken into custody. Mr. Davidson was transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was charged with Unlawful use of a Weapon, Recklessly Endangering, and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. Bail for Mr. Davidson was set at $65,000.
