Charleston Bridge, CCSO release – On 04/21/2018 at approximately 9:30 PM Deputies in Charleston were flagged down by a concerned citizens. They told Deputies there was a woman walking across the Charleston Bridge lunging at passing cars, and causing them to swerve to avoid hitting her. Deputies drove to the bridge, found the female, and identified her as 45-year old Deanna Solinger, a transient out of Coos Bay. Deputies spoke with Solinger, who was suspected of being high on Methamphetamine, on the side of the road. Deputies warned Deanna to stay out of the roadway, or she would be arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Deputies left to handle another call; however multiple 911 calls were received by Coos County Dispatch, about Deanna now laying in the roadway. Deputies returned to the Bridge and found Deanna now going the opposite direction. The Deputies stopped her, placed her under arrest, and transported her to the Coos County Jail.
